Volcano Gold Reserve Honey is Pualani Bee Farm's "champagne" honey varietal! This exquisite, one-of-a-kind honey is made from the finest nectar of Ohia Lehua flowers from trees that grow in the cool, misty highland rainforests of Kilauea Volcano. At 4,000 feet above sea level, these native Hawaiian trees blossom throughout most of the year, providing our upland-dwelling bees with almost year-round nectar foraging from the fiery red flowers. However, with only short spurts of sunny weather each day, it can take the bees up to 6 months to produce just a small surplus of this exquisite honey, which is well worth the wait!
 
Volcano Gold Reserve Honey has the mild sweetness and rich floral aroma typical of classic Ohia Lehua honey varietals. Once extracted,  this honey quickly crystallizes into a lighter-colored, thick consistency that is a favorite among both local and visiting customers.
