Pualani Bee Farm's industrious bees have graced us once again with a delicate varietal that displays all the characteristics of Hawaii's classic Ohia Lehua honey. One of the world's rarest varietals, this honey is derived from the nectar of the native Hawaiian Ohia Lehua tree, which grows exclusively on our volcanic islands. When freshly extracted, Ohia Lehua Honey has a light golden color, a silky consistency, and a subtle floral sweetness. Within weeks, the clear, smooth honey begins to crystallize into a thick, opaque, cream-colored honey that spreads beautifully on fresh toast and butter; complements appetizers of fruit, cheese, and crackers; and is easily enjoyed as is and by the spoonful!
